Thomas Cahill was discharged in May 1875, from the Hobart Gaol where Nevin photographed him on discharge, but he re-offended in September 1875 with the alias John Wilson.


Cahill re-offended in September 1875 with the alias John Wilson. Duplicates of this photograph by Nevin were produced and pasted to Cahill's rap sheet which recorded his offenses into the 1880s.
